InternationaL Week Jihlava 2016 was designed to stimulate an international learning environment, share good practice, increase awareness of partners´ institutions and exchange programmes, and to promote networking opportunities.

The College of Polytechnics Jihlava was delighted to welcome 14 colleagues from 11 universities (Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, PT; Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, PT; University of Murcia, ES; University of Cadiz, ES; UIT Saint Denis, Paris 13, FR; Groupe Tézenas Du Montcel, FR; University of Economics in Bratislava, SK; UMB Banská Bystrica, SK; Catholic University of Ružomberok, SK; Siauliai State College, LT; Afyon Kocatepe University, TR.

The guest lecturers gave 27 lectures in English and/or Slovak for nearly 500 students and staff in the degree programmes of Finance and Management, Travel and Tourism and Clinical Social Worker. The guest lecturers and their colleagues from international offices participated in 5 "official" discussion sessions and in plenty of unofficial ones. They also visited two institutions where Jihlava students do practical training and visited the pictoresque town of Telč and the golden Prague.

According to the feedback received, the aims were met: higher level of cooperation among partners, personalised links, new agreements signed, increased awarness of internationalization and responsiveness to international opportunities among the College students and staff.
